Following up from last years NH7 Weekender identity design and campaign, we devised a new illustrative branding design for 2012.
Using the shape of a plectrum as a visual device we developed a large set of icons. The illustrative and typographic icons were designed to give the Weekender a distinct identity for 2012. The icons derived inspiration from the ‘Weekender vibe’, people, moments, well-known lyrics, urban/pop culture, Pune-Bengaluru-Delhi quirks and of course the bands and brands involved. Icons were designed keeping in mind usage for branding, posters, hoardings, on-location environment design and merchandise.

Designed by Sameer Kulavoor, Zeenat Kulavoor and Aditi Damle of Bombay Duck Designs, Lokesh Karekar of Locopopodesign and Kunal Bele of OAM, the screen-printed masks come in six designs and will make for a quirky keepsake for y’all to remember the Weekender by. “An art event at the NH7 Weekender is a sort of tradition that we do,” said Sameer Kulavoor. “This year, we wanted to have something that people could take back without paying, so we thought we’d design masks that people could take home.” This should be good incentive for you guys to come to the festival on time, we think.
