The Ghoda Cycle Project is featured in MarieClaire Italy’s Feb issue - an article which talks about Indian design, art and fashion!
Un autentico culto la bicicletta nel continente asiatico: con gli acquarelli Ghoda Cycle Project l’illustratore Sameer Kulavoor ne celebra tipologie e funzioni (sameerkulavoor.com).
Also check out the images of graphic designer Sameer Kulavoor’s new Ghoda Cycle Project – a poster book of his drawings that I’ve been happy to include in my personal collection this month. As Sameer says, these ordinary bicycles “carry the hopes and aspirations of a big section of the Indian population. No wonder they are called ghoda cycles. Basic necessities like cooking gas, milk, bread, newspapers and tiffin are delivered to our homes on a cycle. And then there are the mobile cycle shops that sell, among other things, tea, vegetables, waist belts, ice creams and SIM-cards.” PARMESH SHAHANI - Head of GODREJ INDIA CULTURE LAB
